Andrew Raider Wood joined Romano Law in 2022 as Senior Media & Entertainment Counsel. Beginning in 2008 he ran his own arts, media and entertainment law practice, Wood Media Law. Andrew's work there was focused primarily on providing efficient and effective production counsel services to independent film, television and video producers, from the documentation and financing of early stage projects, through all phases of pre-production/production/editing/clearance, to securing good distribution.
Prior to starting Wood Media Law Andrew worked at a boutique entertainment law firm in Tribeca and held a variety of other positions in entertainment and communications, from standards enforcement at the Entertainment Software Rating Board to a fellowship at London’s Stanhope Centre for Communications Policy Research.
Before becoming an attorney Andrew was a book editor at an independent literary press in Union Square. Prior to that he taught film/media/cultural studies at the University of Pittsburgh, where he earned his PhD.
Andrew studied law at Cardozo in the Intellectual Property & Information Law program, did advanced work in international media law & policy at Oxford and also completed graduate work in Montréal at McGill. His undergraduate degree is from Penn in Philadelphia.
