Gianna Smurro is a 3L at William & Mary Law School and a Law Clerk at Romano Law. She first joined Romano Law as a legal extern in August 2025 and has continued with the firm as a Law Clerk since January 2026.
At W&M Law School, Gianna serves as Senior Notes Editor on the Executive Board of the William & Mary Law Review and as Vice President of the Student Bar Association. She is also Co-President of the Student Intellectual Property Society and Vice President of the George Wythe Society of Citizen Lawyers.
Before law school, Gianna attended Elon University, where she earned a B.A. in Journalism and Cinema with a minor in Political Science.
