Ru joined Romano Law as a Spring Extern in 2022, returned as a Graduate Law Clerk after graduating from law school, and now holds the position of Associate Attorney at the firm.  Ru is licensed to practice law in the State of New York.  In her capacity, Ru primarily works on transactional matters involving corporate law and intellectual property.  She also assists the team with business disputes and commercial litigation.

Ru is a J.D. graduate, cum laude, of Brooklyn Law School, where she earned a Certificate in Intellectual Property, Media, and Information Law.  During her time in law school, she served as an Executive Articles Editor of the Brooklyn Journal of Corporate, Financial & Commercial Law and held the position of VP of Pro Bono and Public Relations at the Asian-Pacific American Law Students Association.

Beyond her academic pursuits, Ru has a keen interest in Internet law and privacy-related issues.  She holds a CIPP/US certification in U.S. privacy law and is currently a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).  Additionally, she is a member of the Technology, Cyber, and Privacy Law Committee of the New York City Bar Association. Prior to joining Romano Law, Ru gained valuable experience by interning with the Brooklyn Law Incubator & Policy Clinic and the City government’s IT department, where she focused on tech law and data privacy issues.

Before embarking on her legal career, Ru worked in the sportscasting industry and gained two years of experience in movie subtitles translation.  She earned her undergraduate degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures from National Taiwan University.  Ru is fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese and has conversational proficiency in Japanese.

In her free time, Ru enjoys jogging, traveling, and watching volleyball and European football games.
