Henry Gao is a New York licensed attorney with a strong background in complex commercial disputes and appellate litigation. He brings a practical, solutions-oriented approach to helping clients navigate high-stakes legal challenges.
Most recently, Henry served as an Appellate Court Attorney at the Appellate Division, First Department, where he worked on complex civil and commercial appeals from the New York State Supreme Court. Previously, he practiced at Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel (now Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer), representing global financial institutions and corporate clients on banking, finance, and special situations matters. Earlier in his career, Henry worked as a litigation associate at Zhong Lun New York LLP, advising clients on cross-border disputes and arbitration proceedings. While pursuing his legal studies, Henry interned with the Honorable Robert C. I. McBurney of the Superior Court of Fulton County in Atlanta.
In addition to litigation, Henry also advises clients on entertainment, intellectual property, and general corporate matters. He is admitted to practice in New York and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Henry is fluent in both written and spoken Mandarin.
Outside of work, Henry enjoys playing the saxophone, exploring photography, and discovering new perspectives through the lens. He also loves trying new cuisines and capturing the energy of city life through his photos. An avid League of Legends player, Henry is also an active supporter of the e-Sports community.
