John B. Buckman

John B. Buckman is a corporate attorney, strategic operator, and startup founder with extensive experience helping early-stage and growth companies form, finance, and scale their businesses.

He has founded and helped launch multiple ventures and regularly works side-by-side with founders and management teams on the practical realities of building businesses, from shaping capitalization and governance structures, to structuring partnerships and negotiating key commercial arrangements, and navigating inflection points such as financings, acquisitions, and restructurings.  His work is especially focused on aligning legal strategy with real-world execution, including cross-border operations and technology-driven business models. John advises companies and executives on corporate governance, venture and growth financings, mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracting, and ongoing risk management.  He serves as general counsel to two international technology companies, supporting their U.S. and international operations across legal, compliance, contracting, and strategic initiatives.  In addition to his legal practice, he serves as a manager and Chief Operating Officer of a New York City-based brand consulting company, contributing to operational leadership, client delivery, and business development.

John previously served as Senior Corporate Counsel at U.S. Law Group, a Beverly Hills-based boutique law firm acquired by Romano Law in 2026.

John is an ambassador for Stop the Bleed through a partnership with the American College of Surgeons.  He splits his time between New York City and his residence in Savannah, Georgia.
