Abbas Kazerounian is a founding partner at Kazerouni Law Group, APC, where he focuses on personal injury, consumer rights, and class action litigation. Recognized as a rising star by his peers in 2013, 2014, and 2015, he has earned the distinction of Super Lawyer since 2016—an honor awarded to just 2.5% of attorneys in California. Since 2020, Abbas has been named to the Super Lawyers Top 50 in Orange County and Top 100 in Southern California.
With a track record of over 3,000 litigated consumer rights cases, Abbas is widely regarded as one of the leading consumer rights attorneys in Southern California. He has authored more than 650 published opinions and has argued multiple cases before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, including the landmark Knutson v. Sirius XM Radio case (No. 12-56120, 9th Cir. 2014). Currently, he is actively litigating several cases before the Ninth Circuit.
Abbas holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Theatre & Performance from the University of Plymouth, U.K., and a master’s degree from the renowned London Academy of Performing Arts. He earned his Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law in San Diego. In addition to his legal practice, Abbas is an adjunct professor at California Western School of Law, where he teaches consumer law. He also lectures nationwide on topics related to class action litigation and consumer law.
Licensed to practice in California, Texas, Illinois, Washington, D.C., New York, Michigan, and Colorado, Abbas is also admitted to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
