Ifeoluwa Gbosi

Ifeoluwa Gbosi is a Partner at Technest Solicitors and a seasoned corporate lawyer dedicated to promoting operational excellence and ensuring organizational compliance with relevant regulations. She was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2018 after earning her law degree from the University of Buckingham.

She provides Company Secretarial Services to numerous companies, managing a team that supports an ecosystem of over 20 entities. In her role, she engages actively with stakeholders, regulators, board directors, shareholders, and senior management to ensure that clients’ goals and governance objectives are effectively achieved. Her work demands a high level of discretion, integrity, and confidentiality.

Beyond her corporate career, Ifeoluwa serves as Community Manager at Project Lead, an education-focused NGO. There, she designs and executes programs that bridge educational gaps by connecting students with thought leaders and providing real-world insights and inspiration.

Bernard Damisa

Bernard Damisa, LL.M, DCP, is a Consultant at Technest Solicitors and an accomplished legal and compliance professional with over a decade of experience spanning fintech, energy, and corporate law.

His expertise covers cross-border payments, regulatory compliance, AML/CFT, data protection, and licensing. Bernard currently serves as Legal Counsel at Rafiki by NALA, where he provides legal and compliance support for global operations. He is recognized for combining legal precision with strategic insight to enable compliant business growth.

Bernard’s career reflects a strong track record of leadership and advisory roles. At Rafiki by NALA, he oversees licensing and regulatory matters for international operations. Previously, he worked with NALA as Country Manager and Compliance Consultant, spearheading expansion initiatives and ensuring adherence to regulatory frameworks. Before that, he held senior legal roles in the technology and energy sectors, managing complex contracts and regulatory engagements.

His earlier experience includes governance, risk, and compliance oversight at CWG PLC, as well as corporate advisory and litigation work at leading law firms.

Academically, Bernard holds an LL.M from the University of Lagos, an LL.B from the University of Nigeria, and a B.L from the Nigerian Law School. He is also a Designate Compliance Professional (DCP) certified by the Compliance Institute of Nigeria.

Over the course of his career, Peter has developed deep experience across multiple sectors, including financial services, insurance, energy, education, and digital payments, advising both established companies and emerging startups.

Peter provides clients with practical and commercially sound legal solutions, combining a firm grasp of Nigeria’s regulatory frameworks with a strong transactional orientation. His background in technology law and investments uniquely positions him to advise on complex commercial arrangements, joint ventures, and digital financial service models. He has represented and advised clients in a wide range of high-value transactions and regulatory engagements. Some highlights of his professional experience include:

  • Leading the negotiation of International Money Transfer and Pay-out Agent Agreements for a licensed International Money Transfer Operator with operations in Nigeria and Mauritius;
  • Advising on digital payment models, SaaS agreements, and regulatory compliance across remittance, power, and education technology sectors; – Providing legal and transaction advisory services to Custodian Trustees Limited, a subsidiary of Custodian Investment Plc, including group structuring, governance, and contract support for insurance and asset management businesses;
  • Acting as Legal Advisor to Provenance Finance Limited on joint venture structuring and due diligence for the potential acquisition of a target insurance company;
  • Negotiating Feeder Monitoring Metering Contracts with all eleven electricity distribution companies in Nigeria on behalf of a client in the power technology sector, ensuring compliance with industry and NERC standards.

Olayinka Alao

Olayinka Alao is a consultant a Technest Solicitors. He is an astute dispute resolution lawyer with expertise in commercial litigation and arbitration practice. A well-rounded lawyer, Olayinka has over the course of his career, also garnered rich experience from diverse areas of law including corporate finance, energy law, real estate, and data privacy. He is therefore able to provide practical and effective legal representation to clients drawing from his transactional experience.

Olayinka has represented clients in complex commercial litigations across the various court hierarchies in Nigeria. Some of his dispute resolution experience include:

  • Representing a group of real estate off-takers in an action for specific performance of the purchase contract executed with the property developer;
  • Successfully represented client in an action for Mareva injunction against his assets for debt owed by a company where he is a director;
  • Represented a client in an arbitration proceeding regarding a dispute on drawing down on letters of credit issued in respect of an international equipment supply contract;
  • Successfully represented a group of market traders in an action against the local government regarding the wrongful demolition of their market stalls;
  • Successfully represented a client in a criminal action instituted by the EFCC on behalf of the Federal Government regarding an alleged fraud of over GBP2.56 billion;
  • Successfully applied to the Federal High Court for an order sanctioning share capital reduction.

Olayinka holds a first degree in law from the University of Lagos, and a Master of Laws degree from the same University, majoring on commercial courses such as Energy Resources Law, Tax Law, Maritime Law, and Law of Secured Credit Transactions.
