Erin has nearly a decade of experience comprised of private practice and in-house roles. As former in-house counsel, she recognizes there is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ model to legal advisory. She also has significant background in investment fund formation and fundraising, having previously represented both sponsors and investors in investment negotiations and related transactions.
Prior to joining Romano Law, Erin was a corporate attorney at Sandberg Phoenix, McDermott Will & Emery (now McDermott Will & Schulte), Weil, Gotshal & Manges, and Schulte Roth & Zabel (now McDermott Will & Schulte). She was also in-house counsel at a global wellness unicorn, Gympass (now Wellhub), and the quantitative hedge fund and tech company, Two Sigma Investments, LP.
Erin graduated cum laude from Syracuse University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and minor in strategic management. She received a full merit scholarship to and graduated cum laude from Syracuse University College of Law. She completed her law degree a semester early, was a member of the Syracuse Law Review, and her law review article, The Dodd-Frank Act and Government Overreach: How Expanded SEC Authority Affects the Investing Public and How to Better Regulate the Financial Industry, was selected for publication in Volume 67 of the Syracuse Law Review.
Outside of legal practice, Erin has a successful boxing career. Most recently, she was the 2023 New York Boxing Tournament Women’s Elite 110lb Champion and a finalist in the 2023 NYC Golden Gloves Women’s Elite 110lb Division, in which she competed at Madison Square Garden. She is currently preparing for her professional debut. She also qualified for and competed in the professional division of the 2024 Spartan Trifecta World Championships in Sparta, Greece.
Erin speaks English and Greek (limited working proficiency). She began studying Greek as a pandemic hobby and she now travels to Greece regularly.
