Casey is a third-year student at Brooklyn Law School, where she is pursuing a Certificate in IP, Media & Information Law. She is an executive board member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Honor Society, where she took 1st place at the University of Miami Sneaker Law Competition, and an Associate Managing Editor for the Brooklyn Journal of International Law, where she drafted her note on the doctrine of foreign equivalents and its impact on US and international trademark law. Casey is also Co-President of the Intellectual Property Law Association and does pro bono work through CUBE (Center for Urban Business Entrepreneurship), acting as VP for Entrepreneur Partnerships to connect entrepreneurs with attorneys for consultations regarding their new business ventures.
In addition to interning at Romano Law, Casey has also interned with a legal incubator/non-profit, where she conducted trademark and copyright research, clearances, and registrations, as well as business entity formation assistance, for entrepreneurs and start-ups. Casey has also interned with a music publishing business and boutique entertainment/IP firm, expanding her knowledge and experience in contract drafting, negotiation, financing, licensing, and production of music, TV, and film, among other forms of entertainment. Her areas of interest include intellectual property, business, Web3/NFT/blockchain technology, media/advertising, sports, and entertainment law.
Casey graduated from Fordham University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a double minor in Marketing & Philosophy. Prior to law school, Casey worked at two different law firms, one dealing in real estate, business, and personal injury matters, and another in civil & criminal defense litigation. She also spent time traveling and working abroad on a Work & Holiday Visa in Australia.
In her free time, Casey enjoys traveling (she has been to 23 countries so far!), digital photography, snowboarding, watching Miami Heat basketball, walking her dog, Aiden, and spending time with her family.
